About Adv. Janine Boltman

Meet Janine:

From having grown up in the beautiful fairest Cape Town, South Africa; matriculating from the Settlers High School in Bellville and obtaining my degree in law from the University of Stellenbosch, being a beacon of hope in communities desperately requiring legal advice and services are the fields of law in which I practice.

I have over 12 years of practice experience and who has become a household name with many families and people of standing in the community, who have my mobile number at the push of a button.

I never shy away from any sort of legal challenge  and during my 12 years of practice, I have grown exponentially in litigating, settling of matters and becoming the all round practitioner I am today.

Accolades, opportunities and events are few and far between for women of colour and even less so in the fields of law which I practice, but this has never deterred me from doing my utmost. in doing so, I have the honour of being affiliated to voluntary causes such as the WOZA: women in law organization, #wetoowomenlawyers, which respectively recognize women in their fight for justice, gender parity and equal briefing patterns within the legal profession and will continue in being affiliated to causes which redress the injustices of the past.

My reputation is one of being courageous, bold and valiant. Most notably are my displays of valiance in the Silwood Heights (Eerste River) and Buffeljachtsbaai eviction matters.
These communities barely have the funds to sustain their own households let alone afford attorneys and advocates; but together with other great legal minds alike, I have taken up this challenge and not looked back.

Black practitioners are very sadly often only known for being able to litigate in divorce and criminal law matters but I have among other things decided not to be attached to this untruth and have among others, met in opposition, the likes of (to name but a few), the Wiesenhof Group and the City of Cape Town in civil and commercial matters and will continue fighting this stigma.

I believe in giving people, particularly the vulnerable, a beacon of hope against the powers that be.

My Motto: " We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give" - Winston Churchill
